Decisions taken at the first General Assembly and the first CoCoA meeting |

The General Assembly, 5 – 7 May 2006 in Budapest, was the first ever held and, with the adoption of the ANDANTE Statutes, it was, in fact, the Constitutive Assembly of the European Alliance of Catholic Women’s Organisations. All 17 member organisations were represented. Apart from the Statutes their delegates also approved the scale for annual dues and elected the Coordinating Committee. |

ANDANTE – European Alliance of Catholic women’s organisations – congratulates European Commission President, Manuel Barroso, and the Austrian Chancellor and President of the European Council, Wolfgang Schlüssel, on their initiative of inviting religious leaders for a meeting in Brussels to discuss ‘fundamental rights and mutual respect’. |

ANDANTE – Catholic women in Europe on their way together |

8 May 2006. With the adoption of the draft Statutes, last week in Budapest, the representatives of 17 Catholic women’s organisations from 11 European countries formalised their decision to establish a structural form of cooperation between them and founded: ANDANTE – European Alliance of Catholic Women’s Organisations. |
